Apples annual promotion/announcement conference begins on June 4th. This conference is used to layout the years releases and announcements, and to promote the business. Many will remember when turtleneck laden CEO’s donned the stage and gained massive hype and press coverage for their future products.
Tim Cook, Apples current CEO, go on stage at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose and tell us about what his company has been working on over the past months. What can we expect from this event? We can speculate.
One of the most anticipated announcements is the updated version of the MacBook Air. This laptop has long been forgotten by the company and has not received updates for several years. Rumors say that Apple plans to release a fresh 13-inch notebook with a Retina display, similar to the Pro line models. Whether it will be Air, or it will be released under another line – is still unknown.
In addition, Apple is expected to update the MacBook Pro line, which recently has been receiving a little negative press. The new keyboard with Butterfly switches breaks so often and quickly that users even sued Apple. Perhaps the company will do something about it. Intel also has the 8th generation chips released, which as of yet, has to be integrated to the Macbook Pro.
Sadly, for those of you waiting for the Mac Pro and Mac mini, you may be disappointed. These updates are likely to be postponed by Apple until 2019.
Lovers of compact phones have long been waiting for the second version of the iPhone SE with a 4-inch display. Could we possibly get an updated version?
More than half a year has passed since the presentation of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X in September 2017, but the accessory for wireless charging of these smartphones never came out. Maybe it’s time, Apple? The company promised to begin selling Air Power in 2018.
As many of you know, Apple owns Beats electronics and Bose headphones, which are popular headphone manufacturers. We may see a new set of high end headphones with the Apple branding.
Apple’s mobile operating system has not had the smoothest launch. Numerous interface bugs, problems after switching to a new minor version and other troubles greatly impaired the life of users. According to rumors, Apple is rumored to have delayed iOS features to focus on reliability, performance, and iOS 12 will continue to do so.
Most of the conference will definitely be devoted to augmented reality. This is hinted at the official image of WWDC 2018 with convex interface elements on a flat surface. Standard iOS applications will have several options for using augmented reality. Also, third-party developers can submit a couple of games and programs.
Regardless of what will be announced, it will be interesting to see Apples roadmap and exciting to see the new technology to hit the market.
