Hacker Circumvents Windows LSASS Security Using Vulnerable DLL

A hacker successfully bypassed the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) protection in Windows by exploiting a vulnerability in Microsoft’s Protected Process Light (PPL). The technique involved using a vulnerable DLL file in the LSASS process, which allowed the hacker to execute arbitrary code. This exploit revealed that despite updates, certain security mechanisms in Windows can still be compromised using sophisticated methods.
